What Were The Steps Needed To Reach The Theme?

  • Choosing the theme was the next step, but before we got to that we had to figure out and decide whether we would work alone or work in a group. I decided to work in a group since I felt that it  will be beneficial with everyone having different ideas and point of views on the project. The partners I chose to work with were Anaya and Kevin since I believe they had great eyes and ideas for the magazine. After becoming a group we had to work together to come up with the theme of our magazine. We had many different ideas for theme, but to get inspiration our teacher gave us examples of magazine covers within her power points along with us completing a padlet. This padlet had discussion questions about the understanding of what theme is, why it's important and the role it plays. After gathering all of the knowledge on theme our group finally decided on our overall theme being food, with an elegant well organized structure of the magazine.


  • 10 Themes: This assignment she gave to us individually to brainstorm 10 theme ideas for our magazine. After each person made their list we decided if we would work in groups or not. Since I chose to have a group we worked as a group to keep the ideas we liked the best out of all of our papers and eliminate the bad ideas. Coming to the conclusion of making our magazine fun but also very elegant and organized. 



  • Padlet: This image is the padlet we did in class based on the readings she presented us with about themes. This assignment helped open up my eyes to the importance and actual understanding to what theme really is and how it would be incorporated into the magazine.

How Did the Lessons on Depth of Field and Photography Techniques Prepare Me to Take Pictures for My Magazine?

  What was the impact from the lessons on depth of field on the preparation for my magazine? The lesson my teacher gave on the topics of depth of field and photography techniques helped me in many ways to get ready for the photos needed in my magazine. First, we learned what depth of field meant, depth of field is the distance between the nearest and furthest objects that allows for the image to be focused on camera. Also, when taking photos depth plays an important role in pictures by making two-dimensional subjects into three- dimensional causing for the photo to be more attractive towards the viewer. Then next in the lesson of depth of field the class was taught that the larger the number (such as f/8) is on the camera to focus it will bring all the foreground and background objects in focus. The Process of Creating My Creative Critical Reflection

 Developing My Critical Reflection So first before doing any rough drafts of the reflection I started with deciding if I would either do a video or a presentation with a voice over. After trial and error of trying to record a video, I realized that making a slideshow and having commentary on it would be much more comfortable with me and the best option. SO, after understanding the format in which I would have my critical reflection I started gathering ideas to form the answers to the four main questions. These questions were provided by Cambridge and would be the main portion of the reflection.
